Continue on to Ouarzazate, often called the “Gateway to the Desert”, for dinner and an overnight stay in a comfortable riad or hotel.
After breakfast, tour Ouarzazate’s Atlas Studios and the Taourirt Kasbah before heading toward the Draa Valley, with its endless palm groves and kasbahs. By evening, you’ll reach Merzouga, where camels await to take you across the Erg Chebbi dunes for a magical sunset ride. Wake up early to catch the sunrise over the dunes. After returning to the village by camel, spend the day exploring the Merzouga area. Later, explore Merzouga Lake, home to flamingos and migratory birds, before relaxing at your hotel for the night.
Leave the desert after breakfast and stop at Rissani to explore its lively souk. Continue to Erfoud to see workshops that craft fossils into marble pieces.
